My Kingdom for a Horse
Mar. 19th, 2008 06:22 pmActually would just prefer a reliable delivery company.
Yesterday, we passed Toll Priority on our way into the turn to our house. Seeing the card in the mail box, I called immediately, and was kept on hold for over 10 minutes. If that hadn't happened, the driver could have been radioed to come back and deliver, but hey, ON HOLD happens, so made arrangements to be here to accept delivery (signature needed) today. Was told it would be delivered around 10 am. Fine by me.
So, off to Dr N for discussion of test results at 8am, and then home to wait. And wait... and wait (picks fingernails) and wait. I get phone call around 1:30 pm. Would I be ok with it coming tomorrow instead. Uhh no, I made arrangements for it to be delivered TODAY for a reason, and politely said so to the caller. I get chirpy answer that "that's fine, it will be delivered today."
Waiting recommences. Waiting... waiting.. and still waiting.
As you can see, they didn't even bother trying to deliver it today

I called their toll free number and 'explained' the situation to Glenn, the guy on the other end of the line, and that I was rather angry at this. I have a feeling that I was lied to by the one who told me it was going to be delivered today, and this action was unprofessional, and ended up wasting my entire fucking day. (No, I didn't say fucking to him, it wasn't his fault) but I did want to lodge a customer complaint concerning this. He said I had every right to be angry, and they had been FLOODED with customer complaint calls from W.A.
If I had been told at the outset "We can't make it today, can we do so tomorrow." I would have been amenable. That is leaps and bounds beyond asking me if I would be ok with it coming tomorrow, and her promising it would arrived today when I said it wouldn't be.

Date: 2008-03-19 09:40 am (UTC)I decided to take a screen capture of my consignment. They didn't even TRY to deliver it today. Just kept it in the depot. If she had told me they couldn't deliver it, I would have gone there to get it, instead of wasting a day waiting.
