Good news: went to Disc World, and the RIGHT computer (the quad with 6 gigs ram, etc etc) was shipped!
Bad News: I was two days early. Will be there Saturday.
Gooder news: Paul will be taking the hd out of the 'wrong' computer and put it in the right one, and make it the primary drive without taking out the drive in the right computer. 1.5 tbs should keep me out of trouble for a while. Might have to change/update a few drivers, but that is no great shakes.

Good News: Acer Netbook (aka Mini-Me) loves the memory boost.
Bad News: Something is draining the battery even when the machine is shut off.
Good News: It's back in Paul's hands to find out why.

Bad news: Aikidomayland's computer is toast. Mother board blown, and the power supply iffy.
Good News: Aikidomayland is getting a new motherboard, core 2 CPU this time, more memory. He still appreciates that Alan and I tried to upgrade his computer while he was away. And no, it wasn't our upgrading that killed it. heh But Aikidomayland did get 6 yrs of use out of it, so that isn't bad at all.

Today, the two camera batteries arrived. As did the netbook back pack.

Well, at least I have them for next time.

Having hard time keeping eyes open.

Loki began tromping around and around and around, across us, on us, sitting on my pillow, at 6am ish. So I got up, fed the furballs, got coffee started, got dressed for 8:30 Tai Chi session.
Tai Chi stuff )

Met up with Delicious Irony and Discordia12 for brunch. Much fun conversation, and excellent munchies. Didn't quite slip into a food coma, but definitely felt the urge to hibernate. (Not to self, do NOT skip breakfast before attending a 2 hr tai chi session). Will get to see many nifty pictures from their Paris/England jaunt.

Pillage was less than usual. Nifty side effect from making soups during the winter. Also got myself a new leather bag, kind of the shape of a small briefcase. My netbook fits perfectly inside it, as does all the other items I had in my backpack. The backpack is ok, but it can give me a helluva back ache sometimes. Also, sometimes need somehting a bit dressier. Only one problem with the new bag; shoulder strap was too thin. So, I appropriated a shoulder strap from one of our laptop bags. Problem solved! :D
