Bush wants 50 billion more dollars for his illegal war in Iraq, but is going to veto a bill for children to have health/medical coverage. With all the monies wasted in Iraq, the next 4 generations (or more) of children could have been kept healthy.

He is all gung ho for killing our kids, but could give a shit about keeping them alive and well

What a guy.

How many Bush administration officials does it take to change a light bulb?

The answer is seven:

* One to deny that a light bulb needs to be replaced.

* One to attack and question the patriotism of anyone who has questions about the light bulb.

* One to blame the previous administration for the need of a new light bulb.

* One to arrange the invasion of a country rumored to have a secret stockpile of light bulbs.

* One to get together with Vice President Cheney and figure out how to pay Halliburton one million dollars for each light bulb.

* One to arrange a photo-op session showing Bush changing the light bulb while dressed in a flight suit and wrapped in an American flag.

* And finally, one to explain to Bush the difference between screwing a light bulb and screwing the country. [anon]

Bush is taking time out of his busy vacation to pose for a photo-op at the collapsed bridge. Anyone remember his posturing in New Orleans?

A man walked up to Dick Cheney, calmly told him he thought his Iraq policy was reprehensible, and walked away. A few minutes later he was arrested by the Secret Service, in front of his 8-year-old son, for “assault”.

When he asked what would happen to his child, the Secret Service said, “He can be sent to Child Services.” Luckily, the boy found his mother and was safe.

But the citizen who practiced his free speech spent a few hours in jail before he was released.

Wow.... What next? Sedition laws?

Judging by the look on this young mans' face, anywhere but standing to his right.

Another phony Bush photo op

And if that is the photograph that made it as a 'good' shot, I shudder to think of what the ones that were rejected must have looked like.

Working Assets: Boycott the iPhone

In spite of its hot consumer appeal, the recently released iPhone comes with a major flaw: If you buy one, your carrier will be locked into service with AT&T, a major telecom player that worked with the Bush administration after 9/11.

Bush commutes Libby's prison sentence
WASHINGTON (CNN) -- President Bush commuted Monday the prison term of former White House aide I. Lewis "Scooter" Libby, facing30 months in prison after a federal court convicted him of perjury, obstruction of justice and lying to investigators.

In a written statement commuting the jail sentence, issued hours after Monday's ruling, Bush called the sentence "excessive," and suggested that Libby will pay a big enough price for his conviction.

"The consequences of his felony conviction on his former life as a lawyer, public servant, and private citizen will be long-lasting," Bush said.

Excessive? Excessive? That band of liars outed a under cover CIA operative out of spite because her husband told the truth, contradicting what Bush wanted to hear, then they lied about it. Libby perjured himself, and was convicted. He gets 30 months in Club Fed. The only thing wrong with his sentence is that Rove, Cheney, and Bush aren't sharing that sentence with him.

I wonder how 'excessive' his sentence would be considered if their petty spiteful actions had caused the deaths of CIA operatives.

An outraged Joe Wilson, Plame's husband, spoke to CNN shortly after the ruling. The former ambassador had openly questioned the Bush administration's basis for invading Iraq.

He and his wife contend her name was leaked to the media as retribution for Wilson's comments.

"I have nothing to say to Scooter Libby," Wilson said. "I don't owe this administration. They owe my wife and my family an apology for having betrayed her. Scooter Libby is a traitor."

Wilson also said Bush's action today demonstrates that the White House is "corrupt from top to bottom."

I couldn't agree more.

And has condemned people to wait for treatments or possible cures for:

Spinal cord injury
Brain damage
Alzheimers
M.S.
A.L.S.
Nerve Damage
Parkinsons
Huntington Chorea
Sydenham Chorea
Motor Neuron

This is just to name a few.

Maybe someone should tell him that giving the green flag to stemcell research would bring in a lot of money. Millions and millions, if not billions, which he could siphon off to fund his illegal war.
I find it ironic that he vetoes research that could save countless lives, while full steam ahead for an illegal war that is killing tens of thousands.
