The scent of nutmeg and cinnamon

The house is filled with it. Decided to make a few more pumpkin pies. Going to a BBQ today, so figured I would bring something other than fruit or icecream for dessert. I will convert the idea that pumpkin is a roasting vegetable one Australian household at a time. (throws back head and cackles manically) *cough cough*

I know this is probably boring, but I did manage to find to high sided PYREX mixing bowls. Makes for easier food preparation.

Pumpkin is my absolute favourite fregetable (a fruit that leads a secret life as a double agent for the vegs). You can roast it, you can mash it, you can grate it into soups and stuff. AND THEN. You can make kick-ass pumpkin and honey muffins that earn you the title "Muffin queen of Australia" (current and reigning queen).

And Aussies know all about the dessertability of pumpkin. Our own Flo Bjelke-Peterson (wife of one-time Queensland Premier Joh B-P) was famous for her pumpkin scones.

I have made spicy (ie with cinnamon and nutmeg) pumpkin muffins. I also have standing orders for pumpkin pies too. (looks at her order from USAFoods) I am gonna be busy!
