Things get really tense between Alejandro and Maya concerning Gabriel (Sylar). Alejandro instinctively distrusts Gabriel (Sylar), and it intensifies when Sylar has Maya use her power to get past a citizen border patrol (a bunch of fat good ol boys with guns). Alejandro tells Maya the next time she uses her powers like that, don't go looking for him to fix it.. he will let Sylar/Gabriel die.
Suresh is testing Monica, and is astounded by her abilities. He goes to report to Bob, and spots a file with the name "Adam Monroe". Then Bob tells him to inject Monica with an altered virus to see if it will stop her abilities. Suresh almost does it, but stops "I can't do this.". He head back to Bobs' office, and tells him so, and destroys all the vials of the virus. Bob later apologises for stepping over the line, saying he had no right. But since Suresh has a problem doing dirty work, he has someone who will do it for him. Enter Nikki.
Clair really does try out for cheerleading, but snooty Debbie cuts her down. (Debbie would have benefited knowing how Clair dealt with the last bitchy cheerleader with a great right cross). She and her new flying boyfriend, West, set out to humiliate Debbie. It works, she gets busted drunk on campus, and is booted off the cheerleading squad, allowing Clair to join, giving her the needed excuse to keep seeing West.
Ando gets to read the rest of the scrolls, but they leave him hanging!
Bennet and The Haitian find someone, Ivan, with the answers Bennet needs concerning Isaacs' prophetic paintings. Once they get all the info they need, Bennet tosses the apartment, and kills Ivan, as Ivan taught him to do. He gets the paintings and tries to figure it out. Hmmm one of them was Samurai Kensei.
Hiro, Yaeko, and Kensei find her father. He tells her he has helped White Beard by building guns, and Kensei agrees to destroy them.They discover that Hiro timeslips to prevent Yaeko from getting shot. Noticing where they are, Yaeko clues up to the fact it was Hiro in the orchard. Hiro and her kiss, not knowing Kensei was watching. Hiro finds out, and swears it will never happen again, as Yaeko is Kensei's princess. He tells Kensei they still have to destroy the guns, and Kensei seems to agree. Hiro walks away, only to have Kensei give his skull a hard crack. He has betrayed them, evidenced by White Beard and his soldiers holding Yaeko and her father captive.
Peter and Caitlin head to Montreal, clued the painting he made, on the trail of whoever killer Caitlins' brother. When he gets there, he finds a cryptic message, and says "Show me what the future holds" and they find themselves transported to a very empty Times Square. He picks up a flyer on the ground. It's an evacuation noticed.. dated for the following year
