Kokesh given an general discharge. At least this way he doesn't lose his veterans' benefits.

But their reasoning bothers me:

A military panel has recommended a general discharge for an Iraq war veteran who wore his uniform during a war protest and later responded with an obscenity to a superior who told him he might have violated military rules.

He was honorably discharged, and had no superior officer. He was a civilian, and could say what he wanted. His 'uniform' had been stripped of all insignia and name, and rank designation. It was no different than if he had gone into a surplus store and got the clothing.

As far as I am concerned, his Honorable Discharge is the right one. Those pencil pushers can go pound sand.
