anysiaThis time Harry Dresden falls into a case of serial killer mixed with lycanthropes. Harry and Bob visit the scene of the crime, only to find out the murder victim was a lycanthrope. Then, he discovers the FBI agents in charge of the case are the murderers. Raskin is also a lycanthrope, and with her lover, are deliberately infecting women, and then killing them after they turn to cure of of her own lycanthropy. When Harry gets to close, they frame him for the first 8 murders. Harry breaks out of jail by using a drumstick. *boggle*
The 9th murder victim, Heather, is lined up, infected but manages to escape, and makes her way back to Harry, where upon Bob tells him to kill her before she kills him.
Raskins boyfriend sacrifices himself as the 9th to cure her of lycanthropy.Off to the funnyfarm for her. Heather leaves to try to cope with her now changed life, since Harry told her that he has known others to not only survive the infection, but to live long lives.
Melancholy ending... with Bob telling Harry she might come back, and Harry responding with "Or she slips up,and I end up having to hunt her down and kill her."
