Battlestar Galactica
Feb. 12th, 2007 05:00 pmThis was a very dark episode. Helo (along with a group of refugees) think a doctor is killing a certain group of people. Prejudice, and rumor run rampant (and I don't mean running with a sideways profile). A group of refugees, Sagitarans, don't believe in or use modern medicine. They are infected with a curable illness, but refuse to accept treatment. Then the mother of one young man comes to Helo to tell him she took her son to the doctor to be treated, only to have him die, convinced the doctor killed him. Was it that, or did she just wait until it was too late for anything to have saved him?
You don't find out until pretty close to the end whether the doctor treating the Sagitarans is doing anything to kill his patients or not. I kept wavering back and forth "did he?" "nah, he didn't".
As Cottle asked "What happened to 'do no harm'?"
