What a day

anysiaYesterday was excellent. Meegans' youngest had a birthday. Nice BBQ type party set up for him. I got there early, for not totally unselfish reasons (Meegan has *real* airconditioning, not this happycrappy evaporative hunk of junk) and to help her get things set up. Brought over a few munchins and crunchins to defray the cost of a ravening hoard.
Came home, and pretty much just fell asleep on my feet. Of course had to feed the furry gods (I do a great job of somnambulating) and assure them we weren't going away forever. I have two cats with separation anxiety.
Today, before I even got a good morning, Wing starts in about son having to do his chores. Talk about a bucket of cold water to wake up to. Then he starts in about me latching the screen door. I got a bit snippy (seeing as I hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee for the day) and said to him an irked tone "There is more to life than chores and doors." (yes, inadvertant rhyme there)
I'm just hoping this isn't going to be his trend with our dinner guest tonight, and that Wing remembers the lesson "THOU SHALT NOT PISS OFF THE COOK
