So I decided to get the camera out and do a bit of floral photography. Had a bit of a problem because of the wind, even with the tripod being used.

Jasmine: This vine has been totally stripped by black caterpillars last year. I almost dug it up and threw it out, until I spotted a few leaves still growing on it. It is now entwined in the safety grill over our screen on our bedroom window.

I keep forgetting the name of this blossom. It's an Aussie native bedding flower. EDIT Meegan came by at lunch and ID'd the flower for me. It's a "nasturtium",a Peruvian flower.

Apricot Rose: I don't water or take any special care of this rose bush, but it's now over 6' tall and in full bloom.

Apricot Rose with pollinating passengers. A bee and an ant inside the petals.

Blue sky in Perth. Just aimed the camera straight up. Sun screen a definite option.

The second one is a nasturtium, and it's not an Australian native.
