I couldn't find the tripod, (more like I really didn't want to stay stooped over rummaging through closets and cupboards) so it's not quite as sharp as I would have liked, but this was taken with just the camera. If I can get shots like this without the telescope, I can't wait to find an an adaptor to mount it on the viewfinder. Just imagine the detail I could get of planets or stellar matter.

What gobsmacks me is how much detail I get with just the zoom feature on the camera. Definitely want to hook it up to my telescope via adaptor.

I just picked up a sct ota cheap from e- bay, most likely will be selling my orion xt8 dob,would you be interested?
I'll know what i'm doing when I get the scope.
You'd have to figure out cheap shiping from the usa..07110
I may be moving into an apartment within a year, not sure if the big dob will fit in tight quarters...
I got a 2 in eyepiece+ 5x barlow
which I will let go with it too...
figured i'd let you know first before I e- bay it...
