Now just hope it's not going to be such a pendulum swinging to the extreme.

Joe Lieberman (A republican in Democrat clothing) has conceded defeat in the CT Primary. He has stated that he will run as an independent candidate later on.

But even in defeat, he is a sore loser, and just nasty. He has a really cheap webhosting service, with 10 gig monthly traffic. His site had so much traffic, it and it's hosting service took a dive. So what does Joe do?Blames his 'enemies', claiming his site was hacked.

Word, Mr. Lieberman... your enemies voted for Lamont. There was no need to hack your website.

Unfortunately for the liberal Democrats, it doesn't look as if Lamont really blew away Lieberman. There have been several analysis from both the left-bloggers and more or less neutral observers that a 10% spread would both shut down Liebernman's run as an independent and focus a great deal of media attention on the bloggers, giving them more visibility in the run-up to the Fall elections.

It does look like the middle of the road Dems are jumping to back Lamont and try to talk Lieberman out of the independent run.

I just am holding out that he does just back the hell out, because splitting the vote 3.. let's just say that some of his diehard adherents would vote for him, no matter how conservative he is. Who knows, maybe he will be too broke to run another campaign, considering the low cost webhosting.

I know what a 503 error is, but many don't. And there are people out there would swallow "I've been hacked!" story.

BTW.. glad to see you back.

Oh Noes - a woman understands technical stuff! We Are Doomed!!! ;-)

(my daughter does sys admin and general computer tech stuff while majoring in geology with a side of comp-sci)

The write-up does a decnt job of explaining, it and several similar ones are diffusing around; hopefully it will reach the MSM.

And thanks. Here for at least another few weeks.

The margin is worrysome

They're saying 4%. Could be trouble, depending on how much of Lieberman's support came from Republicans registering as Democrats. If the Republican candidate bows out to support Lieberman, it could be real tight. And given the support the Republicans gave him in this race, they very well could be setting up another Zell Miller thing.

However, as we know, It's All Bill Clinton's Fault
