Certain memes play havoc with my journals appearance, so sometimes I remove someone from F-list until the offending Meme rolls by. Once the blog entry with the meme that isn't behind an lj cut goes off the screen due to other postings, that person will be added back.

That is all.

I have a special filter reserved for those (and also the over large uncut photo, usually from syndicated feeds like Astronomy Photo of the Day) - called "durance vile".

I have had people on reading lists who, were I to remove them temporarily, they'd really be unlikely to find their way back.

I know, I'm a wimp.

See ya in da other place!

You do?

I know how to replace images over a certain size with a space holder(actually I to that to them all)on my friends list, but I have no clue how to block the Memes themselves.

Alas, it's not blocking the memes themselves - I still have to suffer at least one aborted upload (when I go, "Oh, frag!" on seeing the mess of my f-list), scroll through to find the perpertrator, then deliver that specific journal to the Durance Vile filter.

It's a lot of fuss to go through, but at least I have it set up so it's not quite so bad.

I just have to remember to take people out of Durance Vile, before I say to myself, "Gee, whatever happened to so-and-so?"
