Mars and Vet Visit

Today my foundling kitten went to the vet, because he had reached the age that he needed to have two unneeded glands removed. He was an abandoned unwanted kitten, and I wasn't going to let that be a family ritual for him. The anethesia just wore off completely about 10 minutes ago and he is*HUNGRRRRRY*. We were not supposed to feed him until tomorow, but he started eating newspaper, carpet fluff, cardboard, anything he could chew. So, ok, eat, ya little beast! He is acting like he still wants more, but he can wait a while. He is purring so loud now, I think his bones are going to come loose. Maybe I should name him The Purrminator instead of Keito? ;)
Just get back in a few minutes ago from checking out Mars, a bright red glow off to the east. Polar ice is clearly visible through my telescope! And the details are going to get even brighter over the next few weeks! The first time I got to see Mars through my 'scope, I was rather disappointed. Just this reddish blur. Not this time! :)
