anysiaScientific and Medical advances, especially those concerning reproduction, have been either ignored, or have been deemed 'immoral' by the Vatican. If a baby isn't made by bumpin' uglies, you are not respecting life and are immoral. Of course they pretty up the language, saying "apart from the intimate acts of marriage". But this is the same Vatican that has canon LAW that even if getting pregnant will kill a woman, so be it, let her die. Geeze guys, make up your minds, would you? Can't get pregnant or has to stay pregnant.
So, any medical procedure to help produce a pregnancy is against canon law, and a fireable offense. But only if you are a woman. It seems if a MAN uses in vitro to get a child, his job is safe, but not the woman that has in vitro fertilised eggs implanted, she can be fired for being 'immoral'.
