All good things
Jan. 4th, 2004 10:46 pmMust thankfully come to an end. Wing goes back to work tomorrow, and I have told him to ignore me doing cartwheels as he backs out of the driveway. As much as having him home was good for the first week or so, after 3 weeks.... Put it this way, I have told him that when he retires he is to get a hobby. There is no way I could put up with him getting underfoot 24/7. HELL no!
Spent today polishing silver jewelry, and boy do they look nice and new again. With the exception of two of them that have antique scroll work on them. Might be silly, but not stupid enough to remove patina on an antique.
Then, Meegan and Daggles came over. I allow Meegan visitation rights to her basil plant that I rescued. It has recovered enough for her to have some prunings off of it, and another HUGE bouquet from my basil shrub. Now Daggles, remember, if its laid out on a counter, neatly in rows on a drying rack, it is NOT hedge clippings to be tossed! Meegan pruned her rosemary plant back and I got the goodness from that harvest. She said she pruned it back 50%..not that you could notice! The parsley plant that shed seeds two years ago.. well I found at least 25 sprouts. It's a good thing I know how to dry herbs, yes? And I am sure I can find good homes from some of the freshly harvested greens. :)
Tomorrow, appliance repair shop must be called. Either the element on the oven, or the thermostat went, needs fixing.
