First day of a new class term is always exciting and a bit nerve wracking at the same time!
We were at the room, and the air conditioner wasn't programmed to go on in that wing of the building until MONDAY! We soldiered on, after asking for a huge honking fan.
Listened to the new Helm Tribal Drums CD,and selected one of the marvelishious songs to use. Then we selected a great tune, one we used at the Tribal/Fire Dancers gig on South Beach, from one of the AfroCelt Sound System CDs. Meegan and I have been studying the dvd we got from FCBD, and have noticed some ummm 'differences' from what we had been told/taught before. (shrug) We have been drilling ourselves to do it the right way, and have now been passing that information on. That dvd is a gold mine of information.
Came home, took a nice long cool-ish shower (tattoos were a bit stingy from the sweating).
Then we went to pick up or battle scarred Sir Fur, aka Affy. Poor thing, he was still a bit under the anestheia. It was funny to watch him lurch around like a drunken sailor, using the walls for support. He was so doped up, he didn't even bother to hiss at Keito for GP.
But his head....The way he is going, the top of his head will be nothing but a lump of scar tissue! Thinking about finding a leather smith to make him a small snoopy type aviator cap. That and a spiked collar, or possibly some kitty prozac to stop him from fighting so damned much. Every vet we have taken him to have voice surprise at how much this desexed cat fights! *sigh*
