Ummm Owie?
Dec. 30th, 2003 03:21 pmI have found out that having a tattoo touched up (ok, done over due to it not being done right the first time) hurts a helluva lot more than having one done right the first time.
I got my new tattoo done today, and it looks great. After it was finished, Jason (tattooist) went ahead and touched up the light patches, and too thin lines on my first one. He had to re-work at least 75% of the original fill in, and about 40% of the lines. Let me tell you, I just about levitated out of the chair a few times during the procedure. Jason told me that the area, which for all intents and purposes, is scar tissue, has to be 'broken open' and new ink applied to the area in the same way it was first applied, so it would be a lot more painful then sitting through getting a tattoo. He wasn't just whistling Dixie! I said quite a few words that would have earned me a 'mouth washed out with soap' in my younger years, but at the time, I didn't give a damn! I told him I would rather get another new tattoo than to have one reworked ever again. He laughed, and agreed.
At least its over and done now, and in about a week, the fun part will start... THE HEALING ITCHINESS! That can drive ya nuts! But hey, I got throught it once, so am sure as hell going to weather this one just as well.
