Another experiment
Dec. 4th, 2005 03:36 pmI have some very nice silver penne velvet. I want to make another choli, but being a DD, I feel unsupported by penne. So, what I am going to do is combine our original patterns. That's the good thing about coming up with your own stuff instead of copying someone elses' work, you can do things with them, as you have the originals in which to work.
My plan is to combine the non-stretch pattern front panels, with some minor 'edits' to compensate for the penne being a stretch fabric, and use the original pattern sleeve and back panel.
Got the hard part (for me, gives me an awful backache) done, pinning and cutting the fabric. Have cotton ties ready too. Just have to load up one of the sewing machines with the proper color thread and off I go. Taking a bit of a coffee break right now.
