There is NOT a fine line between pleasure and pain

I have been 'purging' my body of pain killers the past week, not out of worry about addiction, but because I have become rather tolerant of them. It has been a painful, sleepless, tiring week. Also, an unproductive one too. Kind of hard to do anything when you are applying heatpacks to loosen the afflicted area. :(

The week is over, and last night, I took a dose just before I went to bed. Blessed relief. I even slept well, and woke up refreshed. One never appreciates the absence of pain until one is hurting a lot for a long while.
