Ok, here comes another severe hurricane, Rita, heading into the Gulf. Predictions say it will hit the Houston/Galveston areas hard.

Correct me if I have my wires crossed, but didn't bible thumping, self righteous, rightwing nutjobs claim from their pulpits that Katrina was retribution for NOLA's wicked ways? If so, what was Houstons' horrible sin? The Oilers not winning the Superbowl? And Galvestons' sin? Being mentioned in a song title?

The satellite thermograph of Rita looks amazingly like Katrina, so why aren't the same fruitcakes claiming "its a fetus from G*d coming to punish you sinners!"  rhetoric?  I guess the wackjobs got laughed at too much for them to poke the horrible noses out like that again.  Let us hope it stays that way.

p.s. I noticed that the emergency agencies are working properly now. Funny that.

Not surprise(derisive noise) Eastern Seaboard is prone to hurricanes and blizzards. Gulf Coast, Hurricanes. Central US, Tornados and blizzards if you are northern enough. West coast, hurricanes, earthquakes and landslides.(clouding issue with facts, bad girl that I am)

Every part of where anyone lives has some sort of geographical heartache. Pinning the naturally occuring weather and disasters to Fundie-Mentalmidgets beliefs that it's retribution is asinine.
