MicroPillage
Nov. 28th, 2003 03:03 pmMeegan and I did a small pillage today. First stop, movies, to see "Mystic River". I still say that Clint Eastwood is a better director than he is an actor. Excellent flick.
Then off for the micropillage. We had ordered a specific CD from a music store, a store that we had already purchased over $500 (AUD) worth of tribal and other music from not too long ago, the last week of October. First, we were told would take a week. We waited, and no cd. So we were told to give it some more time. We did, checked back a week later, and still nothing. We had told him that we wanted it for a specific event at the end of November. He assured us it would arrive in more than enough time. A few times, he wasn't even there when we checked. *THIS* week, we go in, our ordered CD had been sold to someone else. He swore it was someone associated with us, in the dance world, and wasn't that us in the flyer there, he could have sworn *I* had given it to him. My reply.. "Do you SEE me in that picture?" Even Meegan said the same thing. (rolls eyes)
We went elsewhere, (Harmony Music) and not only got the CD we had ordered from the other place, but 2 others by the same group at a helluva lot less than it would have cost to get two of them from him.
There is an old saying, the young man from the other store should have been aware of: You don't shit where you eat.
