Thomasi?
Whatever.
Two Aussie guys just stopped short of calling me a liar a few months back when I told them about the triple digit temerpatures that get hotter than here during the US summers. Ambient air temperatures were recorded to be 119f, and the sidewalks were radiating at 130f.
What is it with some people with their "my country is hotter/colder than anything YOU'VE experienced!" attitude? I have experienced (with wind chill) -40f degrees, and let me tell you that it sucked big time. I remember a two week stretch in CT when it was between 120 and 125f. That wasn't all that thrilling either.

Were you still here in the Texas summer of 1980?
That was the year we had ten consecutive days of 100+ temps (I think the highest was 113).
It was rather hellish, to say the least ...
:-D
