Gonzales has resigned, officials say

Embattled U.S. Attorney General Alberto Gonzales has resigned, senior administration officials told CNN today. Many lawmakers from both sides of the aisle have long called for his ouster after the firing of several U.S. attorneys in 2006

Should have happened months ago, but better late than never!

But this worries me:

President Bush likely to nominate Homeland Security Secretary Chertoff to replace Gonzales, senior administration officials tell CNN.

Loki is limping tonight. I guess I didn't stop his frantic Jackie Chan imitation against the door soon enough.
