Cats are smart

I have been teaching Loki where he is allowed to go outside (ie in the back yard, in the front area no further than the shrub) and I have used a cat toy, fishing pole with two toy mice dangling on elastic string as a lure to entice him back when he head to where he isn't supposed to go.

I get woken up this morning, at 7 am, by Loki dragging in the fishing pole and dropping it on the bed, then mewing at me.

'Nuff said?

So he said no to Stemcell research again

And has condemned people to wait for treatments or possible cures for:

Spinal cord injury
Brain damage
Alzheimers
M.S.
A.L.S.
Nerve Damage
Parkinsons
Huntington Chorea
Sydenham Chorea
Motor Neuron

This is just to name a few.

Maybe someone should tell him that giving the green flag to stemcell research would bring in a lot of money. Millions and millions, if not billions, which he could siphon off to fund his illegal war.
I find it ironic that he vetoes research that could save countless lives, while full steam ahead for an illegal war that is killing tens of thousands.

Just got off the phone with thatgothgrrl. I had just been thinking about her as I was going through photograph portfolios' Geelong shots.

Seems she is switching ISPs and phone service, so she will be offline email and weblog for a while. Was great catching up, though.

It was a day

I have been bringing Loki out for brief jaunts, and it finally dawned on me to grab the camera and get some shots of him 'in the wilds' of the back yard. Little bugger doesn't like to sit still too long, so I didn't get very many usable shots, but I did get a few.
