A most amazing visit

Yes, I probably should have been resting,but ya know, sometimes rest is overrated, and the people coming to visit are a good reason to mildly ignore the resting order.

Authors Mercedes (call me Misty) Lackey and Larry Dixon popped in for a visit. :) mynxii (lookit... shiny) and Elaine were also here. Larry is an amazing artist. I got to see some of his work up close and it's beautiful. I wouldn't mind seeing one of the as a new tattoo. Felt a bit embarrassed as my drug fogged brain kept missing the titles of their books..kept coming this >.< close to the titles in my head, then they would veer to some stupid thing.

Turns out they likes birds (understatement), and Archimedes and Eilene put on a good show. So did Bertie the Cockatiel. I got Larry with a bad pun. "You should never kiss a bird.. you could get chirpies and it's untweetable."

Poor mynxii, she said she is going to be punned to death. Nah, I am sure generalissimo_k will make sure she will survive.

It's the little things that make life easier

Leg was a bit leaden today, and back a bit stiff, but feels better now. Took snooze this afternoon and woke up better for it.

_meegan_ was here for the 'morning shift' and my son Alan took over the afternoon shift. He had some errands to run, so that was the time I took my siesta.
Woke up when aikidomayland got home early. After he got dinner started, I asked him to follow me to our room, had him lay down on 'his side' of the bed, and I cuddled/snuggled up behind him for a few minutes. *happy sigh* I think I still have the goofy smile on my face.
