anysia: Portrait in 13 Candles (really pissed off)
Erik Stanley, an attorney for the groups that filed suit, said the curriculum excludes the viewpoints of former gays and those who believe that "same-sex attraction can be overcome."

For one thing, there is no such thing as 'former gays'.  It's like being alive. You either are or you aren't.

Just because these self-named "ex gays" have married "ex lesbians" does not mean they are suddenly heterosexual.  They are still homosexual, but living a lie. That is why it's being excluded. Because there is no such thing as an ex homosexual.  Maybe a bisexual that had decided to stick with oneside of the road, but that isnt' the same thing as claiming to be 'ex-gay'.

Kerchristing hell, when will people stop trying to legislate sexuality.  When will people clue up that it's not a 'life style choice'.  A girl does not wake up during adolescence and suddenly state "Gee, I think I will like boys".  Same applies for boys.

Todays dance class was wonderful. By student demand, we have stuck with teaching them sword work (Irene is hillarious, she said she now has a rut on her head, and [livejournal.com profile] _meegan_ then said "Oh good, we know where to put the sword now") Much laughter and lots of work.  All of them said they felt as if they had had a major workout.

Saw an email that one of our students sent about information about upcoming ATS workshop, that someone doesn't know is one of our students.  Gave her a lot of information, and possible attendance.  Funny, Meegan and I are still being left in the dark.  Persona non gratis. I guess her nose is still out of joint that we didn't just duck our heads and say nothing about her slandering us, as we normally would have done.  *shrug*  As nice as it would have been to yammer and yak over coffee, It's not worth the high price she is demanding.  No wonder she can afford to fly over to the states, with those ripoff rates. $300 for a one day, one off workshop is a bit high priced.  We can easily afford it and then some, but it's not worth it to us.  I have a lot of dance experience, and have already come up with 2 tribal style dance moves, and are working on fine tuning a few others.

We did tell our students to NOT mention whose students they are, as they were sure to be shunned. Irene is a dear, and spared no harsh language about such childish behavior.  They also said they have better things to do with their money.

It was both sad and gratifying to find out we weren't being paranoid, that someone was lying to us, and about us.  *sadly shaking head* I wonder when the bitchy childish behavior will stop.
