And it's still shiny. :) Ellen and Vivienne were still floating, and Irene was not too far behind them. Ellen told Irene flat out that she will be up there with us sometime this year. Ellen went into her "teacher" mode when she said this. (Yes, Ellen is a professional educator, which is why when she tells Meegan and me we are good teachers, it well and truly means something.)
Three of our students, Vivienne, Brenda and Seana, bought swords. Woe be to them, because now they will be using those in class. (See Brenda/Seana, I told you the hard stuff was starting). We also used our two swords in todays class, and it really made a world of difference.

aikidomayland took last night. Irene was most impressed with his athletic ability of getting up on chairs and dodging past lighting fixtures to get 'the good shots'. He did a great job.
