Sacrificial chair

Have dentist appointment today, to finish up a cleaning, and maybe a few touchups on some fillings. I drink lots of Juice of Holy Bean (aka coffee) and the new fillings tend to stain.  My jaw hinge finally feels better and hasn't been hurting, just in time for me to have to sit through the whole rigamarole again. *sigh*  Oh well, has to be done.

Shirley Chisholm dies at age 80 First black woman elected to Congress fought for minorities.
MIAMI, Florida (AP) -- Shirley Chisholm, an advocate for minority rights who became the first black woman elected to Congress and later the first black person to seek a major party's nomination for the U.S. presidency, has died. The Rev. Jesse Jackson called her a "woman of great courage."
