The lorikeet has been 'officially' named. Archimedes. And for general purposes, we have decided to stick with 'he' when referring to the bird.
Saturdays class was a very good lesson for me. Thou shalt NOT neglect antiinflamatories and try to cope with it afterwards. Came home and was one helluva hurtin' unit. Needed codiene laced medication to relieve the pain and sleep.
Going to have to head out to the pet store and get proper nectar mix for Archimedes. I think he is past the need for hand feeding formula. I will donate the package to the vet, and tell em why I didn't use it all. Archimedes has decided that geraldton wax blossoms are his 'cup of coffee' in the morning. Luckily for him, we have 8 of the growing on the property. And when the bottlebrush trees blossom, I expect him to really enjoy a banquet.
Wing was in a swivet over the dvd drawer not opening. Wanted to take it to the repair shop. I went in, hit open a few times and listened. Put my finger gently on the drawer front and minutely pushed to the left and to the right, and voila! it opened. It needs cleaning is all. Will get small micro vacuum cleaner for it. Wing was surprised I know about things like that. Or should I say I am surprised he doesn't. I have had a VCR disassembled in front of me to replace a small part (the idler wheel on one machine, and to reconnect the audio lead on another). He is always surprised I know how to open up appliances and electrical gear and just fix the problem.
Well, off I go to see what else I can do for the day.
