Monday... rah
Mar. 8th, 2004 08:12 amKind of proud of myself. Solved the "overly bulky brocade waistband" problem. Folded back the inside edges of the waistband and made them form a V to the top of the skirt. Then, put hooks and eyes on, and voila! Snug, non abrading fit! And a nicer drape on the back.. bonus.
Got an email from friend that went to Singapore. Part of me is sad, because he will be missed, but I as so happy for him. Its great when you see someone actually achieving his/her dream. So, I replied to it with brightness and good wishes.
Did a bit of corporate sucking up myself today. Turns out Wings' boss has a liking for corn bread, a taste he developed when he visited the US. Funny.. I can make that from memory. I leaned over to Wing and stage whispered "How big of a raise do you want?" David and Julie got a laugh out of that one, as they were supposed to. So, I got up this morning, and made a pan of cornbread, sent it in to the office. All I can imagine is a swarm of locusts descending upon it.
