anysia | Oh that was a bloody MARVELOUS performance!

We arrived a bit late,due to some traffic lights that were damned and determined to be red for us, and some silly twit in her new sports car. We got there, set up our stereo (Thanks Clive, you were such a dear) stretched, warmed up, started. We totally wowed them. The 2nd song we chose is almost a trance dance drum/percussion piece and not only did we start drifting to that otherness, so did the audience. (insert water break here)

The MC told them that what we did was not (and it wasn't) choregraphed! When we told them we could dance to just about anything he laid the gauntlet down, saying something about heavy rock music. Being game, we took up his challenge. Anastasia, "I'm Outta Love"... hows that for a rock song. We then did Morrocan 6 afterwards.(insert 'nuther water break here)

Josselyn said that we looked so different from others that do this style of dancing. We look like we were having tons of fun. We told her that is the difference between it being improvisation and choregraphed. If what you do is choregraphed you have to concentrate on remembering what to do in what sequence. They might be doing similar dance moves, but it's choreograped. We don't do choreography, so our attention is freed up and we do smile, laugh and sometimes sing along with the music.

We then did another tribal music piece. Then we did our 'signature' song, and danced around the restaurant, showing them it's truly not choreographed. We totally gobsmacked them, might have a few new students, and more gigs lined up! (Hey Mel, I got one of the flyers for you as requestee)

It was a fan-f*ckin-tastic night and performance. AND we even have FANS now!!! Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!
