From Tribe to Troupe
Jul. 2nd, 2004 10:55 pmWe are now officially a dance troupe. True, some of the members are still students (hells bells I still consider myself a 'student' as one never really learns everything there is to learn). We had our first Black Swan Tribe Hafla. Booked a restaurant, had many RSVPs (a few had to cancel due to schedule conflicts and other glitches) but we had almost 60 people there. Was nice to see some good friends there.
Now Kudos to the dancers:
Seana, Brenda, Peck, Annette, Jessie, Kim, Lisa, Sue, Shevaun, and of course Meegan, my business partner and friend. And to the dancers that couldn't make it: Bella, Chris, Tori, and Ama. We took many pictures and yes Ama, I have video too. :)
To all the family and friends of the dancers thank you for your support and enthusiasm. Special thanks to Daryl and Wing for being photographers of the evening.
Our thanks to Peter and his waitstaff. The cuisine was delicious, and your venue absolutely perfect. We look forward to holding more Haflas there in the future.
Time for me to go collapse for about 8 hrs. It's been a helluva good night.
