Just got up from the sewing machine, after putting in a hip band on a new tribal tassel belt, and it brought back memories of when I used to live in Connecticut. One day, in '92, 4 of us (3 women, one man) we in my kitchen/dining area with 4 portable sewing machines, making our SCA and Tribal outfits. I made two Italian Ren outfits that day (brought one of them with me here to Australia, but it's just too darned hot to wear it here, but I didn't want to give it up. And I brought my satin lined, black wool cloak, also too hot here for it) Made a beautiful gold trimmed dress tunic too. Later that day, most had left, two of us (dang Teresa, I still miss you and your hubby, I wonder if I could find you after all this time.) made Ghawazee tops and tribal tunics/overcoats. To this day I regret giving them away, but at the time, I didn't think I would need them. Such is life.
