Interesting
Jan. 18th, 2008 09:41 amI have been watching "Life On Mars", and it's a pretty good, reminiscent of some old US shows. Gotta love those '70s fashions. Took a while for them to give Sam a new shirt. Guess they blew the biggest part of the budget on those vintage cars.
What I find amusing is that someone said that Americans can't understand British TV series. In a way this person was right.
I can't understand why they accept 8 episodes 'a season'. That isn't even a half a season, just over a third. I guess I will just never understand Brit TV. heh

Date: 2008-01-18 08:59 am (UTC)6 to 8 programmes is just ususal for British TV, we're used to it. I find American programmes overly long to be honest.

Date: 2008-01-18 04:21 pm (UTC)Life on Mars (wonderful show)
The State Within (which, frankly, I enjoyed more)
Jeckyl and Hyde and others, are more like our 'mini- series'.
But as BBC america recomends, I *do* put on closed captioning.
