Blood Ties

Show Premise: Former detective is losing her sight due to Retinitis Pigmentosa, so has traded in her gun and badge for a P.I. license. A young man is seeming killed by something that took all his blood. His girlfriend, who was on the phone when he was attacked, swears he was attacked by a vampire. Vicki, the former cop, rushed to the rescue (too late) and the attacker disappears.
Cue the real vampire. Henry Fitzroy, a rather pretty man-vamp of royal lineage (is there any other kind of hot vampires?) is on the trail of the same killer as Vicki is, and it's only a matter of time before they meet up.
One of my big questions is: If Vicki has R.P. why is she always out at night? Of course there wouldn't be any chemistry between she and Henry. And ok, it's only at the 'just been diganosed' stage.
