Yes, I am glad the miners are free, but do we have to read/hear/see it on every !*$%^%%#%$ radio/tv show every frigging DAY for the past week??!!! Enough already!
I am SOOOOOO glad you feel the same way as me! I was just about to moan about the way the media is going on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and OOOOOOOOON.
The whole thing is turning into some sleaze fest. I find the media disgusting. I don't see them offering money to the family of the miner who died! He'll be long since forgotten, and when they get around to making the movie, he probably won't even be mentioned.

Personally, I want to see these "I'm so relieved to be alive and rescued" men who signed lucrative contracts for big bucks to give some of that money to Larrys' widow and her kids. Now that would be worth reporting.
Guess what - the channel 9 interview only got a quarter of a million viewers, placing them third in the ratings on Sunday night. (The Worst Australian was gloating this morning)
And the few people who watched it complained that there wasn't really any new information anyway.
Must admit, I've not really noticed the saturation; I get most of my news from news.bbc.co.uk, buy the paper once or twice a week, and the only free-to-air tv I watch regularly is Denton's Enough Rope.

Not surprised in the slightest.
Being that I am pretty much shut in for the most part, I can only read so many books, pace the halls so many times, surf the web or play computer games for so long until shear boredom drives me to the TV remote. Then I was bombarded with a constant flood of MINERS MINERS MINERS.
Yours is one of the two remaining that I haven't found a way to deliver yet, and I've promised Jeanette they'll either be delivered or trashed by the end of June :)
