Limestone Retaining Wall, Day One.
Mark removed the old sleepers, removed some bricks , and dug a trench where they were. Today, he has been mixing cement and laying limestone blocks. He has been very careful about making sure the blocks are level. Just the slightest bit off and it can end off plumb. Not quite as bad as Tower of Pisa, but you get the idea.
Work In Progress:
This is the longest section of the wall along the back of the house. There will be another row added tomorrow, then some back filling.
