Dance class last night started off oddly
Jun. 24th, 2005 09:18 amAfter working for about 4 hrs rendering graphics for new poster , got ready for dance class and arrived early. We hadn't even set up our stereos or got on our shoes when two women opened the door of room A (mine) and asked if I was "in charge" of the dance class going on there. I started to reply "No, the two of us are in charge." but I wasn't allowed to get that far.. just to the word No, and this supercillous bitch says in a snobby tone "Can you find me some one in authority."

_meegan_'s) to tell her about these two women. I knew exactly what they were there about. A religious meeting group wants one of the dance rooms for their meetings. This was after we had already hired and paid for said rooms. Denise, the lady that manages the center, called us to see if we could double up, and we can't. We tried that once and it was dismal failure. She relayed that information TO said the person running the religous group.
"I'm the chairperson of this center, but I'm not trying to bully you (like HELL you aren't!). I am just trying to see if we can come to a comprimise, and let her meetings use one of the large rooms once a month (while we shove you into this postage stamp sized room with no windows, stacked with office furniture) and you use the smaller room."
We told her no, we can't. We were polite and we were firm. The woman wanting the large room.. well if looks had been lasers, we would have been scorched black on the spot.
Both_meegan_ and I agree..they need to either schedule their meetings to start after 8:30 on Thursday nights, or pick a different day of the week.
Class started.. one of my students was in another place. She wasn't listening or paying attention. Also found out their legs are weak as all get out for doing levels. Will work on that next week.
Oh yeah, just as an aside, the new poster layout looks great. I had to 'paint' the skirts darker so they wouldn't look pixelated when converted to PDF. Took a look at it, and have decided the bitmap looks better. Will print posters from that instead.
