Everytime I turn on or hear the news, there is something about Chuck and Cammy and their inability to legally marry, as the Church of England will not recognise their marriage, and according to mundane law, royals can't be wed by civil ceremony. Chuck doesn't want to relinquish title to the throne, so he will stay in the succession but wants a marriage to Cammy legally recognised.
Ok.. this might not be popular with monarchists or POMs,but if Chuck is allowed to marry her without abdicating in favor of his son, then the line of succession should revert to King Edwards' line. Remember him? Forced to abdicate his throne to marry the woman he loved.. a divorcee (who hadn't had a hand in wrecking a marriage, which is more than I can say for Cammy). If Chuck can get away with legally marrying her, and he still retains his titles and claim to the throne, then it should be made retroactive. King Andrew anyone?
