Meticulous experimentation
Mar. 11th, 2004 03:34 pmMixed up a very nice fragrant oil perfume. Mmmmm it smell like a piece of heaven. The oils are Sandalwood, Frankinsence, Jasmine, Rose, Lavendar, Neroli and Ylang Ylang. It has a very grounding earthy smell.. somewhat like water lillies, but with out the pond smell. It took a bit of trial and error (and a small wasabe dish) to get the the mixture right, one drop at a time. Once I got how many parts per each essential oil, I mixed up enough for a small bottle, and put some in the oil burner.... Mmmmmm (smile) very nice.
Went out with Meegan for micro pillage. I got a new mortal and pestle. I am going to stencil on the side of it "DO NOT IMMERSE IN WATER". I am sick of grinding up fresh dried herbs, wiping it clean, only to have hubby shove it in hot soapy water, then not rinse it well. It takes weeks for the thing to dry out enough to use it again. It only needs a wiping out, not a dunking. Maybe I can get this through his head. If not, I have an extra on now.
